Arsenal Hammer Chelsea 5-0 to Top Premier League

Gunners Run Riot in London Derby

Arsenal extended their lead atop the Premier League standings to three points with a resounding 5-0 victory over London rivals Chelsea on Sunday. The win was the Gunners' biggest ever margin of victory over Chelsea.

Goals Galore at the Emirates

Leandro Trossard opened the scoring for Arsenal in the 18th minute, followed by a goal from Ben White in the 52nd minute. Kai Havertz scored an own goal in the 63rd minute to make it 3-0, and Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli added goals in the 87th and 90th minutes, respectively.

White's Redemption

White's goal was particularly significant as it came just days after he was criticized for his performance in a 2-0 defeat to Aston Villa. The defender made amends with a commanding performance against Chelsea, including a vital clearance in the first half that prevented Chelsea from taking an early lead.

Arsenal's Dominance

Arsenal controlled the match from start to finish, with Chelsea unable to mount any significant threat. The Gunners had 61% possession and completed 88% of their passes, while Chelsea managed only four shots on target.

Chelsea's Struggles

Chelsea's defeat marked their third in their last four Premier League matches. The Blues have now fallen to 10th place in the standings, just six points above the relegation zone. Coach Graham Potter faces growing pressure as his team continues to struggle.

Arsenal's Title Hopes

Arsenal's victory strengthens their position as title favorites. The Gunners have now won 10 of their last 11 Premier League matches and have a two-point lead over Manchester City with a game in hand.
