The rainbow flag or pride flag is a symbol of LGBT pride and LGBT social movements. The colors reflect the diversity of the LGBT community and represent life, healing, sunlight, nature, serenity, spirit, harmony, and sex. While many in the LGBTQIA community identify with the all-encompassing rainbow flag, each group has its own flag to represent its specific identity.
The terms LGBT flag and queer flag are often used interchangeably. Pride flags can represent various sexual orientations, romantic orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions. Here are 32 of the most common LGBTQ pride flags:
- Lesbian flag: A flag with a red stripe, an orange stripe, a white stripe, a pink stripe, and a purple stripe.
- Gay flag: A flag with a red stripe, an orange stripe, a yellow stripe, a green stripe, a blue stripe, and a purple stripe.
- Bisexual flag: A flag with a pink stripe, a blue stripe, and a purple stripe.
- Transgender flag: A flag with a light blue stripe, a pink stripe, and a white stripe.
- Queer flag: A flag with a lavender stripe, a white stripe, and a gray stripe.
These are just a few of the many LGBTQ pride flags that exist. Each flag is unique and represents the diversity of the LGBTQ community.
