The changes to TGIF were passed by USAC on Tuesday, May 2, 2023. The new guidelines will go into effect in Fall 2023.

The most significant change to TGIF is the increase in the maximum funding amount per project. The previous maximum was $10,000; the new maximum is $20,000.

Other changes to TGIF include:

  • A new focus on projects that reduce UCLA's environmental impact.
  • A new requirement that projects must have a clear plan for sustainability.
  • A new requirement that projects must be completed within one year.

USAC believes that these changes will make TGIF more effective in supporting student-led sustainability projects. We encourage all members of the UCLA community to apply for TGIF funding.
