Dan Hurley, born January 16, 1973, is an American basketball coach who is currently the head coach of the UConn Huskies men's basketball team. His journey to the top has been one of perseverance and hard work, and he has overcome numerous challenges to achieve success.

Hurley began his coaching career as an assistant at the University of Rhode Island in 1997. He spent four seasons as an assistant at URI. In 2010, Hurley was hired as the head coach at the University of Rhode Island. He led the Rams to four NCAA Tournament appearances, including an Elite Eight appearance in 2018. In 2018, Hurley was named the head coach at UConn. He led the Huskies to the NCAA Tournament in his first season, and he has since led them to two more NCAA Tournament appearances.
